We’re back – again!

Well, what an eventful few months that was! Having got back to serious training and then holding a really successful competition in October 2020, the Covid-19 infections started to skyrocket and Bristol and S Glos were placed under tighter restrictions, so we had to cancel our November and December sessions. After Christmas, the whole country went back into lockdown, so we lost the next few months too.

April saw a slight relaxation, so we held a single-day session with limited numbers, which was over-subscribed. It was a huge relief for all to be back to training as a club! With the continued relaxation of restrictions, we’re now expecting to resume our normal training programme from May.

Consequently, as we’ve said before – what’s the point of training without a goal? So…

Our number-one priority is always going to be safety – of athletes, coaches and staff, as well as families – so this event will be run to the prevailing rules and guidelines in terms of numbers and distancing, but we’re confident that we can keep everyone safe.

We’re introducing a ‘Challenge Trophy’ which will be awarded to the Club with the highest number of points, with the expectation that this can be carried forward to their next Open competition, so we’re throwing down a gauntlet to other clubs to enter teams! We hope to see you there…
